Professor Ahmed Amin Njidda from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) emphasized the significant benefits of incorporating tiger nut into the diet of ruminant animals.

His insights were shared during NOUN’s 26th Inaugural Lecture, held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the university’s headquarters in Abuja.

The lecture, titled “Marvels in Ruminant Nutrition: The Quest for Animal Protein,” attracted a diverse audience of scholars, students, family, and distinguished guests. Professor Njidda's research has shed light on the potential of tiger nuts to enhance the nutritional intake and overall performance of sheep and other ruminant animals.
