Federal University of Transportation Daura Announces Recruitment for Senior Academic Positions

 The Federal University of Transportation Daura (FUTD) has opened applications for multiple senior academic positions as part of its commitment to advancing transportation education, research, and innovation in Nigeria. The institution, established by the Federal Government, aims to be a global center of excellence in transportation studies.

The University is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following positions:

  • Professors (CONUASS 07)

  • Associate Professors (CONUASS 06)

  • Senior Lecturers (CONUASS 05)

  • Lecturer I (CONUASS 04)

Faculty of Transportation Engineering

  1. Department of Civil Engineering (B.Eng. Civil Engineering)

  2. Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (B.Eng. Electrical and Electronics Engineering)

  3. Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering (B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering, B.Eng. Mechatronics Engineering)

  4. Department of Highway Engineering (B.Eng. Highway Engineering)

  5. Department of Railway Engineering (B.Eng. Railway Engineering)

Faculty of Transportation Management

  1. Department of Logistics and Maritime Economics (B.Sc. Logistics and Supply Chain Management, B.Sc. Maritime Economics)

General Requirements for Applicants

Professors (CONUASS 07)

  • PhD in a relevant specialization.

  • Minimum of three years as an Associate Professor.

  • Extensive teaching, research, and professional experience.

  • Track record of scholarly publications.

  • Experience in postgraduate supervision and research project execution.

Associate Professors (CONUASS 06)

Senior Lecturers (CONUASS 05)

  • PhD in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of three years as a Lecturer I.

  • At least six years of teaching and research experience.

  • Demonstrated research and mentorship experience.

Lecturer I (CONUASS 04)

  • PhD in a relevant specialization.

  • Minimum of three years of teaching and research experience.

  • Evidence of publications in reputable journals.
