Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) Promotes Six Lecturers to Professors, 14 Associate Professors
The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) has promoted 20 academic staff to the professorial cadre. Announced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Armaya'u Hamisu Bichi during the 125th Regular Senate Meeting on February 4, 2025, the promotion includes six new Professors and 14 Associate Professors across various departments.

The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) has approved the promotion of 20 academic staff to the professorial cadre. The announcement was made by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Armaya'u Hamisu Bichi, during the university’s 125th Regular Senate Meeting on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
According to Prof. Bichi, six faculty members have been elevated to the rank of Professor, while 14 others have been promoted to Associate Professor. He noted that external assessment reports for at least two of the promoted staff returned positive, reaffirming the university's commitment to academic excellence.
The newly promoted Professors include:
- Dr. Saifullahi Sani Ibrahim (Department of Economics and Development Studies) – Professor of Security and Development Finance
- Dr. Iliya Bitrus Abaji (Department of Geography) – Professor of Climatology
- Dr. Ismail Olaoye Kayode (Department of Business Management) – Professor of Human Resources Management
- Dr. Olanrewaju Mary O. (Department of Computer Science) – Professor of Computer Science
- Dr. Martins Irabor Iyoboyi (Department of Economics and Development Studies) – Professor of Institutional and Applied Economics
- Dr. Maryam Hassan Ati (Department of Agronomy) – Professor of Plant Breeding and Genetics
The 14 scholars promoted to Associate Professorship are:
- Dr. Emmanuel Ada Ojoko (Department of Agricultural Economics)
- Dr. Victor I. Gwa (Department of Crop Protection)
- Dr. Yahaya Olanrewaju Yusuf (Department of Geography)
- Dr. Rabi'u Tukur (Department of Environment Resources)
- Dr. Nkiru Charity Eberemu (Department of Biological Science)
- Dr. Emmanuel Joseph (Department of Physics)
- Dr. Augustine Ogbaji Ogoh (Department of Political Science)
- Dr. Shamsuddeen Suleiman (Department of Statistics)
- Dr. Yusuf Auwalu Bichi (Department of Mathematics)
- Dr. Akinsanmi Akinbolati (Department of Physics)
- Dr. Christopher Nwabudike (Department of English)
