The Gulak Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has intensified its advocacy efforts, leading to the immediate enrollment of four staff members from Union Bank, Mubi branch, Adamawa State.

The Gulak Community Study Centre of the National Open Un iversity of Nigeria (NOUN) has intensified its advocacy efforts, leading to the immediate enrollment of four staff members from Union Bank, Mubi branch, Adamawa State.

The centre’s Acting Director, Mrs. Magaret Yamtu, spearheaded the initiative during an interactive session with Union Bank personnel, where she introduced the variety of programmes offered by NOUN and highlighted the advantages of its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system. She urged the bank staff to leverage the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of NOUN’s instructional delivery to upgrade their academic qualifications.

Yamtu emphasized that NOUN’s ODL mode allows working professionals to balance their education with their careers, offering a viable option for those seeking to enhance their skills without disrupting their work schedules.

In response, the Branch Manager of Union Bank, Mubi, Mr. Musa Hassan, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and immediately approved the enrollment of four staff members. He conveyed his appreciation for the visit and assured Yamtu that the bank would continue to encourage its employees to take advantage of the academic opportunities available at NOUN.
