NOUN's Gulak Community Study Centre Expands Outreach, Secures Enrollment of Union Bank Staff in Mubi

The centre’s Acting Director, Mrs. Magaret Yamtu, spearheaded the initiative during an interactive session with Union Bank personnel, where she introduced the variety of programmes offered by NOUN and highlighted the advantages of its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system. She urged the bank staff to leverage the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of NOUN’s instructional delivery to upgrade their academic qualifications.
Yamtu emphasized that NOUN’s ODL mode allows working professionals to balance their education with their careers, offering a viable option for those seeking to enhance their skills without disrupting their work schedules.
In response, the Branch Manager of Union Bank, Mubi, Mr. Musa Hassan, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and immediately approved the enrollment of four staff members. He conveyed his appreciation for the visit and assured Yamtu that the bank would continue to encourage its employees to take advantage of the academic opportunities available at NOUN.
Hassan also reiterated the bank's commitment to fostering a long-term partnership with the university, with a view to promoting continuous education and professional development among his staff.
The outreach marks a significant step in NOUN’s efforts to extend the benefits of Open and Distance Learning to professionals in Adamawa State, contributing to educational advancement and capacity building across various sectors.
