NUBESS FUGA Chapter Appoints University Registrar Dr. Abubakar Mamuda as Grand Patron

The National Union of Benue State Students, NUBESS, Federal University Gashua, FUGA, Chapter, has appointed the University Registrar, Dr. Abubakar Mamuda, as the Grand Patron of the association.

The appointment, according to the union, was in recognition of the Registrar’s wealth of experience in university administration, commitment to institutional development, and his efforts towards strengthening cordial relations between the University management and students.

Presenting the letter of appointment to the Registrar, the President of NUBESS FUGA Chapter, Umar Tijani Aliyu, said the decision was informed by Dr. Mamuda’s dedication to students’ welfare and his exemplary leadership qualities.

Aliyu expressed confidence that the Registrar’s mentorship and guidance would contribute significantly to the growth and effective administration of the association, while promoting discipline, academic excellence, unity, and responsible leadership among members.

Responding, Dr. Mamuda appreciated the union for finding him worthy of the honour, describing the appointment as a call to greater responsibility.

He assured the association of his continued support towards initiatives aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence, academic excellence, and the overall development of students.

The Registrar urged members of NUBESS to remain committed to the values of discipline, responsibility, and respect for the University’s rules and regulations, noting that student associations have an important role to play as partners in achieving the objectives of the institution.

NUBESS is the umbrella body representing students of Benue State origin in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. At FUGA, the association promotes unity, academic excellence, and the welfare of its members.
