NUC Accreditation Team Visits BOUESTI, Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Education
The Nigerian University Commission (NUC) visited Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI) in Ikere-Ekiti for an accreditation exercise of 45 academic programs.
The Nigerian University Commission (NUC) has reaffirmed its dedication to upholding international standards in education and fostering intellectual growth across Nigeria. This was highlighted during the NUC's accreditation exercise at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI) in Ikere-Ekiti, where 45 academic programs are undergoing evaluation.

Mrs. Anthonia Bawa, NUC Deputy Director of Account and Finance, emphasized the commission's commitment to developing university education and maintaining minimum academic standards. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Bawa noted that the accreditation process is aimed at verifying the quality of physical facilities and human resources, ensuring that new programs meet global benchmarks.
"The accreditation exercise is not intended to witch hunt but to evaluate the resources available for new programs," Bawa stated. She commended BOUESTI's management for their enthusiastic reception and assured that the NUC team would conduct the exercise with professionalism.
