NUC Accreditation Team Visits Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University for Biotechnology Program

A National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation team has arrived at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU) Lapai to assess the university's Biotechnology program. Led by Professor Muhammed D. Abubakar Bunza, the team aims to evaluate the program's quality, focusing on key areas such as staffing, physical facilities, library resources, and e-library resources.

Professor Bunza emphasized that the accreditation process is a supportive and corrective exercise designed to help institutions strengthen their programs, rather than a punitive measure. "This is a friendly, constructive exercise aimed at highlighting areas of improvement and providing guidance to enhance the program's quality," he said.

Representing the Vice Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Hadi Sulaiman, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Professor Muhammad Salihu Niworu, welcomed the team and assured them of the university's full cooperation and preparedness for the accreditation process. He highlighted the university's commitment to excellence, noting that everything has been put in place to ensure a successful exercise.
