NUC Commends Nasarawa State University, Keffi for Pioneering Transnational Education Guidelines
He highlighted NSUK's successful collaboration with Lincoln University of Malaysia, making it the first Nigerian university to adopt the initiative, which allows foreign universities to establish campuses in Nigeria.
The Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Chris J. Maiyaki, has praised Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) for its leading role in the implementation of Transnational Education Guidelines in Nigeria.
Mr. Maiyaki made the commendation on Thursday, August 15, 2024, during a courtesy visit by NSUK’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, and other principal officers of the university to the NUC Headquarters in Abuja.
He highlighted NSUK's successful collaboration with Lincoln University of Malaysia, making it the first Nigerian university to adopt the initiative, which allows foreign universities to establish campuses in Nigeria. Maiyaki also congratulated Professor Liman on her recent appointment as Vice-Chancellor and acknowledged her achievements within her first 100 days in office.
Professor Liman thanked the NUC for its support and shared her plans to enhance digital literacy and entrepreneurship at NSUK. The visit concluded with the exchange of souvenirs and group photographs.
