NUC Grants Full Accreditation to 13 ABUAD Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to 13 undergraduate programmes across four colleges at Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD). The accredited programmes include:Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering

The Director, Corporate Affairs, ABUAD, Tunde Olofintila, stated that the accreditation is in line with the provision of Section 10 (1) of the Education (National Minimum Standard & Establishment of Institutions) Act. The Founder & Chancellor of the University, Aare Afe Babalola, expressed delight over the achievement, noting that it marks another milestone in the university's history.

The accreditation is valid for a period of five years. ABUAD's Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olasupo A. Ijabadeniyi, said the full accreditation is further proof of the university's quality education and its ranking as the Number 1 University in Nigeria by Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
