NUC Officially Approves Kebbi's First Private University Rayhaan for January Launch
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially granted its license and approval to Rayhaan University, Kebbi's Inaugural private University, set to begin academic activities in January 2024.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially granted its license and approval to Rayhaan University, Kebbi's Inaugural private University, set to begin academic activities in January 2024, the institution has been given a go ahead order to offer a diverse range of 15 courses.
The Vice Chancellor of the University,Professor Mohammed Ahmadu stated this when he received a delegation from the NUC, led by Acting Director, Academic Planning, Abubakar Muhammed-Altine, in Birnin Kebbi during the recent resource verification visit by the NUC.

According to him, “The university is an ICT-driven academic learning, teaching and research environment that is positioned to nurture our youth into personalities possessing sound academic, practical and upright moral qualities.
“We look forward to welcoming prospective students for our new academic session commencing in January 2024."
He also said “parents and guardians who wish their children or wards to receive quality and functional university education should consider the university as the right educational destination.
“In addition to their usual academic pursuits, students passing through the university will also be equipped with entrepreneurship and other soft skills that will enhance their competitiveness, nationally and internationally,”

Professor highlighted that Rayhaan is part of the few private universities in the Northwest Geo-Political zone ready to commence academic activities, and the University's commitment to provide quality education is evident through its strategic selection of courses and emphasis on creating a conducive learning environment.
Head of NUC team and Acting Director of Academic Planning,Muhammed-Altine expressed satisfaction with the proposed courses and also emphasized that the purpose of the visit was to ensure the University's commitment to delivering quality education and that they were happy and confident with Rayhaan's abilities.
