NYSC Batch B Members Warmly Received by Gokana CTC Chairman
NYSC Batch B members posted to Gokana LGA were warmly received by Hon. Kenneth Kpeden, who assured them of their safety and promised accommodation for those assigned to the IT centre.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch B members posted to Gokana Local Government Area were warmly welcomed today by Hon. Kenneth Kpeden, the CTC Chairman of Gokana LGA, at his office in Kpor. During the ceremony, Hon. Kpeden assured the corps members of their safety and encouraged them to integrate with the local community by making friends.
Among the newly posted corps members, two Computer Science graduates have been assigned to the Information Technology and Communication Centre. Hon. Kpeden also promised accommodation for them, emphasizing the hospitable nature of the Gokana people.
"You people should feel free to make friends," Hon. Kpeden stated, while advising the corps members to carry out their duties effectively. He urged them to report any challenges they face through the Local Government Inspector, Gim Joy, for swift resolution.
Dignitaries present at the ceremony included Hon. Mrs. Monday Dumle, Secretary of Gokana LGA; Hon. Fortune Torbel, PDP Secretary of Gokana LGA; and Mrs. Patience Daniel Ukanwa, Director of Education, Gokana LGA.
The NYSC, established on May 22, 1973, after the Nigerian Civil War, is a compulsory national service scheme designed to foster unity and rebuild the nation.
