OAUTHC PCR Laboratory Achieves SANAS Accreditation with Support from APIN
In a momentous achievement, the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTHC) PCR Laboratory in Ile-Ife, Osun State, one of the most supported laboratories, has earned accreditation from the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS).
The prestigious accreditation was presented to the Chief Medical Director of OAUTHC, Prof. John Akintunde Okeniyi, and the Project Coordinator, Prof. Ebunoluwa Aderonke Adejuyigbe, in a significant ceremony. Dr. Jay Osi Samuels, our Deputy CEO (Programs), had the honor of bestowing this recognition.
The commendable accomplishment is a result of the unwavering support provided by APIN, which has been made possible through funding from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (U.S. CDC Nigeria). APIN has played a pivotal role in assisting six laboratories in Nigeria to attain this coveted accreditation, with ongoing support for five of these laboratories.
