Obafemi Awolowo University Appoints Professor Olusegun Fatai Adebowale as Pioneering HOD of New Department

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife has appointed Professor Olusegun Fatai Adebowale as the pioneering Head of Department (HOD) of the newly established Department of Counselling and Human Development Education.

This appointment is a testament to Professor Adebowale's exceptional leadership skills, academic excellence, and dedication to the field of counselling and education.

Professor Adebowale is a renowned scholar with a PhD in Education (Guidance and Counselling), Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Guidance and Counselling, Master of Arts in Education (M.A. Ed.) in Tests and Measurement, and Bachelor of Agriculture (Hons.) all from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife. He joined OAU in 2008 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the ranks to become a Professor in 2023.
