Ogun State Governor Advocates for More Private Universities

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has emphasized the need for additional universities in Nigeria to address the challenge of limited access to tertiary education. During the inauguration of Aletheia University in Ago-Iwoye, Governor Abiodun advocated for an expansion of the carrying capacity of existing institutions and the establishment of new ones.

Highlighting the current disparity between the number of applicants and available admission slots, Governor Abiodun stated that approximately two million candidates apply for admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions, with only about 800,000 successfully securing admission. He stressed the urgency of addressing this access gap through both increasing the capacity of existing institutions and establishing new ones.

Sansadeen Awosanya (retd.), expressed the school's mission to provide high-quality education on a global scale.
