Ondo State Sets Fee Limits for Primary and Secondary School Students
The circular, signed by the permanent secretary Folasade Adegoke, also specifies that the total fees for primary school students should not exceed N5,000, while secondary school students should pay no more than N14,000.
The Ondo State government has announced new requirements for students enrolling in public primary and secondary schools.
New students must bring a hoe, cutlass, broom, locker, chair, and file jackets during registration, according to a circular issued by the state’s Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Olaolu Akindolire.
The circular, signed by the permanent secretary Folasade Adegoke, also specifies that the total fees for primary school students should not exceed N5,000, while secondary school students should pay no more than N14,000.
These fees cover various charges, including PTA levies and administrative costs. The commissioner warned school heads against imposing additional fees or requiring extra items beyond those listed by the state government.
