Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi disclosed that 737,308 candidates, or 61.60%, attained five credits or more, including English and Mathematics. Moreover, a commendable 84.68% of candidates achieved five credits or more, irrespective of their performance in English and Mathematics.

A total of 787,308 candidates achieved the significant milestone of securing five credits in both English and Mathematics during the 2023 Senior Secondary School Examinations conducted by the National Examination Council (NECO). These results, unveiled on October 10, 2023, in Minna, have been hailed as the most outstanding in recent years by Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the council's registrar.

In his announcement, Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi disclosed that 737,308 candidates, or 61.60%, attained five credits or more, including English and Mathematics. Moreover, a commendable 84.68% of candidates achieved five credits or more, irrespective of their performance in English and Mathematics.

He noted that instances of examination malpractices were identified among 12,030 candidates, a decrease from the previous year's figure of 13,594. In terms of registration and participation, a total of 1,205,888 candidates registered for the examination, with 1,196,985 candidates actually sitting for the exams.
