Some parents from Mani Local Government Area, under the Duwan Forum, have expressed their gratitude to Governor Dikko Umar Radda for providing scholarships to their children. These scholarships enable 35 students from the area to study various courses at Alhikma University in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The commendation was made during a courtesy visit to Alhaji Isah Mohammed Musa, the Commissioner for Higher, Vocational, and Technical Education, at his office. Speaking on behalf of the forum, Chairman Alhaji Ya'u Musa Duwan highlighted the significance of the scholarships, describing them as a blessing and an opportunity to contribute to the development of Katsina State.

Alhaji Ya'u Musa Duwan emphasized that the priority given to education by Governor Radda’s administration, particularly in offering foreign scholarships, will ensure that students from Katsina State receive a high-quality education that meets international standards. He also congratulated the Commissioner on his recent posting to the Ministry of Higher Education and assured continued support from the parents for the government’s educational policies.

In his remarks, Commissioner Alhaji Isah Mohammed Musa thanked the parents for their visit and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing scholarships, especially in the fields of science and technology. He encouraged parents to remain dedicated to their children's education, aiming to produce professionals like doctors, engineers, and scientists who can contribute to Nigeria's development.

The Commissioner also assured the parents that his office remains open for any advice on how to further support tertiary education in Katsina State.
