Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has approved the inauguration of a nine-man visitation panel for Redeemer's University in Ede, Osun State. This initiative aims to assess the university's performance over the past five years, in line with the institution's governing laws.

The announcement was made by Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Corporate Affairs, who stated that the panel's formation was essential to comply with the university law mandating performance assessments every five years.

The panel was officially inaugurated on September 17 by Pastor Olukayode Pitan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Redeemer's University, in Lagos. Pitan noted that the last visitation occurred in 2019, and emphasized that this new panel is part of the university's commitment to global best practices in education.

Prof. Shadrach Akindele, Vice-Chancellor of Redeemer's University, expressed that the visitation panel represents a significant opportunity for the institution to reflect on its achievements and identify areas needing improvement. He praised the BoT for their dedication to maintaining high standards of quality education, transparency, and accountability within the Christian university framework.

Prof. Femi Mimiko, Chairman of the Visitation Panel and former Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, emphasized the honor and responsibility the panel members feel towards their assignment. He committed to conducting a thorough evaluation and urged the university community and stakeholders to provide necessary information to support their efforts.

The panel's review will cover the period from January 2019 to December 2023, with an expected completion timeframe of eight weeks. Notable members include Prof. Ernest Izevbigie, former Vice-Chancellor of Benson Idahosa University, and Dr. Linda Onwuka, former Registrar of the Federal University of Petroleum.

This visitation panel aims to bolster the university's mission of excellence in education and further its growth within the academic landscape.
