The Student Union Government (SUG) of Plateau State University (PSU), Bokkos Chapter, has officially dissolved its Parliament, Student Judicial Council (SJC), and Tribunal. The announcement was made in a notice dated 22nd September 2024, signed by Comrade Donald Yaksuk Doedel, President of the SUG, and Samuel Mathias Jwanmun, the Secretary-General.

The decision follows Section 29, Sub-section 8 of the SUG Constitution, which grants the President the authority to dissolve these bodies upon the end of their tenure and prior to the election of new principal members. According to the statement, the dissolution is effective immediately.

- All powers and responsibilities previously held by the Parliament, SJC, and Tribunal are now revoked.

President Donald Yaksuk Doedel expressed his gratitude to the members of the dissolved bodies, appreciating their service and dedication to the union. He emphasized the union's commitment to moving forward with a fresh team to address the institution's objectives.

In conclusion, the President requested the submission of all union documents and properties to the new administration for a smooth transition. The notice was circulated to the Dean of Student Affairs, the Chief Security Officer, Faculty Presidents, and Departmental Presidents for further awareness.

The dissolution is seen as a routine part of student governance at PSU, as the union looks toward the next phase of leadership development.
