Police Arrest Suspect in Murder of Offapoly Female Student

The Kwara State Police Command has apprehended a suspect in connection with the brutal murder of Toyin Bamidele, a 23-year-old female Higher National Diploma (HND) student of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa. The incident occurred in her rented apartment outside the polytechnic campus on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Victor Olaiya, the Police Commissioner, confirmed the arrest in a statement, assuring the public of the command's determination to uncover the truth behind the crime. Toyin Bamidele was found hacked to death in her residence.

The statement highlighted that the police received information about the incident on November 16, 2023, and dispatched a team of investigators led by the Divisional Police Officer, Offa Division, to the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed marks of violence on the face and neck regions of the victim.
