Prof. Adofu Stresses Mentorship's Role in Academic Success at Federal University of Lafia

Professor Ilemona Adofu, Director of Academic Planning at Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), highlighted the crucial role of mentorship in achieving academic success during an interactive forum organized by the Department of Economics for postgraduate students. The event, held at the Social Sciences Lecture Room, Mallam Adamu Adamu Hall, Permanent Site Campus, was the department’s first postgraduate academic forum.

Dr. Walter O. Ugwuoke, Head of the Department of Economics, presented a paper titled “Academic Mentorship: A Guide for Academic Excellence,” outlining key qualities of effective mentors, such as availability, approachability, and active listening.
Dr. Adewale Adegoriola, Chairman of the Departmental Seminar Series Committee, thanked the speakers and urged students to seek mentorship to achieve their academic goals.
