FULOKOJA Set to Launch University Welfare Scheme

Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) is on the verge of implementing a comprehensive welfare scheme for its staff, following the commitment of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, to enhance staff support. The initiative, developed by the University Welfare Committee, aims to provide substantial benefits, including interest-free loans, distribution of food items, and soft loans for transportation and fuel.

The committee, chaired by Prof. Dauda Tanko, has submitted the welfare policy document to the Vice-Chancellor for approval, along with a request for seed funding to launch the scheme. Once approved, detailed guidelines for accessing the benefits will be provided to interested staff members.

Key highlights of the welfare scheme include:

1. Interest-free loans for staff children's education, from nursery to tertiary levels.
