Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai Assumes Role as Sule Lamido University's New Vice-Chancellor

The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Sule Lamido University (SLU) Kafin Hausa, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, fcasson, mnae, has today Thursday 28th December 2023 received his appointment letter as the third Vice-Chancellor of the University from the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State.

Presenting the appointment letter to the Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the Visitor to the University, His Excellency Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, the Secretary to the Jigawa State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim, disclosed that his appointment was based on merit and charged him to uphold the confidence repose in him.

While responding to questions from the press shortly after receiving the appointment letter, Professor Yakasai pledged to uphold the mission and vision of the University. According to the Vice-Chancellor, ensuring a conducive teaching, learning and research environment and staff welfare and development are the priorities of his administration as one cannot succeed without a strong, effective and motivated workforce.
