The Director of the UN Information Centre (UNIC) in Nigeria, Ronald Kayanja, has identified COVID-19, conflicts and climate change as a drawback for the progress hitherto recorded in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria and in deed all over the world.

He spoke at the 3rd Session of Redeemer's University International Model United Nations (RUIMUN) conference which commenced on Tuesday 17 May 2023, at the University campus in Ede, Osun State, South-West Nigeria.

Kayanja spoke on the theme, “A Tipping Point: Addressing Growing Threats to Global Development”, at the conference organised in collaboration with UNIC.

In his message, the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres thanked the delegates for taking part in the Model United Nations conference and for believing in the power of global cooperation to solve global problems.
