Renowned Islamic Scholar Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Passes Away

Federal Polytechnic Bauchi's Rector, Alh. Sani Usman, has expressed condolences on the passing of renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, describing it as a great loss.

Sheikh Bauchi, a revered spiritual leader and Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood leader, died at 102, leaving behind a legacy of peace-building, preaching, and educational advancement.

President Bola Tinubu and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, have also paid tribute, praising Sheikh Bauchi's contributions to Islamic scholarship, theology, and jurisprudence. The scholar's death has been met with widespread mourning, with leaders acknowledging the vacuum created by his passing .

Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi was a recipient of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) and had dedicated his life to advancing Islamic education, promoting peaceful coexistence, and fostering unity in Nigeria. His funeral prayer is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 28, in Bauchi .
