In a shocking turn of events, a 30-year-old graduate of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede in Imo State, Nerus Elemamba, has reportedly taken his own life in his village in Umuohii, Oboama community in the Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

Nerus Elemamba, a 30-year-old graduate of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, has allegedly committed suicide in his village in Umuohii, Oboama community in the Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State. His body was found hanging in his room on Monday evening, following his participation in the day's village manual labor earlier. He did not leave any suicide note, and his reasons for taking his own life remain unknown.

According to reports from a source who spoke on condition of anonymity, Elemamba's body was discovered hanging in his room on Monday evening. The incident occurred in his village in Umuohii, Oboama community in the Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

Elemamba, who was a graduate of Architecture from the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, was said to have participated in the day's village manual labor earlier before his body was found.

Sources close to the deceased revealed that there were no prior signs of depression or any indication that he was contemplating suicide. However, the reasons behind his tragic decision remain unknown, as he did not leave behind any suicide note.

Another source disclosed that Elemamba was the second son of late Mr. Cajethan Elemamba. He was described as being in good health prior to the incident, and his sudden demise has left the community in shock.

The village youth leader, Iheukwumere Ibeh, expressed bewilderment at the tragic turn of events. He confirmed that the necessary cultural rituals had been performed, and Elemamba was being buried.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the police in the state, Henry Okoye, stated that he had yet to be briefed on the incident, indicating that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
