Skills acquisition: Fulafia VC Abdul Rahman thanks Gov Sule

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has thanked the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, for sponsoring the skills acquisition training of students of the University.

It would be recalled that the governor, during the recent convocation of the University, offered to sponsor 50 First Class students to acquire vocational training.

The students, meanwhile, would graduate from their vocational training next week.

Thus, ahead of their graduation, Vice Abdul Rahman led his Management team to thank governor Sule for the gesture, saying that the University was grateful for his support to the University.

Abdul Rahman described the governor as a big supporter and promoter of education in Nasarawa State, saying that the governor’s desire to people become self-reliant cannot go unnoticed by the state.

In his response, the governor described the vice-chancellor “as a strong pillar of support for our fast growing University.”

He said that the vice-chancellor, within a short period of time, catapulted FULafia to a good position among its peers.

Abdul Rahman was at the the governor’s office together with Prof. Ali Ishaq Shugaba and Prof. Samaila Usman Dakyes, the deputy vice-chancellors of administration and research and partnerships, respectively, and his special assistant, Musa Bashir Agbawu.
