Speaking at the university's third convocation ceremony held at the main campus in Okun Owa, Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State, Odufuwa highlighted the evolving nature of the 21st-century employability landscape. He stressed that skills would play a more pivotal role than certificates in the global job market.

Odufuwa stated, “Global education curriculums are increasingly tailored to meet the demands of the global economy, focusing on e-learning, e-commerce, and other contemporary needs. In Nigeria, there's a growing gap between the skills provided by our tertiary institutions and the economy's actual requirements."
