Katie McConnell, a dedicated 14 Year Old student at St. Louise's, had the extraordinary opportunity to venture to the United States over the summer through the Sutton Trust US Programme. Among 900 applicants, Katie's impressive application stood out, earning her a coveted spot on this prestigious program.
During her week-long adventure in July, Katie had the privilege of visiting renowned Ivy League universities, including Harvard, MIT, Dartmouth, Wellesley, and Tufts.
She even shared her thoughts on the campus food at Harvard, which she deemed the best! While on these campuses, she received comprehensive campus tours and attended informative sessions led by students and faculty, immersing herself in the academic culture of these esteemed institutions. Additionally, she enjoyed educational outings to historic places like Salem and the Boston Tea Party Museum.
The Sutton Trust US Programme is dedicated to coaching students in navigating the intricacies of the U.S. university application process. The program's goal is to inspire students from diverse backgrounds to consider pursuing higher education in the United States.
With a heart full of gratitude for her own experience, Katie has applied to become a Team Leader for the Sutton Trust US Programme for the upcoming year, with the intention of guiding and supporting the next generation of aspiring U.S. applicants.
