State Governor Approves White Paper and Implementation Committees with Focus on Education
Mr. Sagir Musa stated that the decision to establish the White Paper/Implementation Committee was made after the Visitation Panels/Enquiry on five affected institutions. These institutions include the State College of Education Gumel, College of Education and Islamic Legal Studies Ringim, Jigawa State Polytechnic Dutse, and Bilyaminu Usman Polytechnic Hadejia.
The state governor has given approval for the establishment of White Paper and Implementation committees. These committees are to be based on the findings of investigation panels that have been working at five educational institutions within the state.

This development was made public by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Mr. Sagir Musa. He disclosed this information while briefing newsmen on the outcomes of the State Executive Council meeting. The meeting was presided over by Governor Malam Umar Namadi.

The Information Commissioner further stated that the Council has received a report of the investigation panels on Health Training Institutions, which include the College of Nursing and Midwifery and College of Health Sciences Jahun.
The council has charged the White Paper/Implementation Committee with the task of developing specific action points/modalities for each of the accepted recommendations in the reports of the investigation panels on Health Training Institutions and agencies.

In addition to the educational sector, the Council has also approved the establishment of a White Paper/Implementation Committee on the Review of the Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) and Free Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Healthcare (FMNC) Program in the Health Sector statewide.
