The altercation unfolded when Udemezu went to the Faculty of Biological Sciences (JIMBAZZ) to study for his exams. A final-year student from the faculty confronted him, asserting that there was no space for him to study since he wasn't a member of that department. The disagreement escalated into a heated argument, culminating in Udemezu being pushed from a storey building, resulting in severe injuries.

To prevent further violence, concerned students contacted the school's security immediately. The school authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, and the alleged assailant is expected to face appropriate disciplinary measures.

Addressing the situation, the president of the department, Comrade Mamah John Chibuzo, appealed to protesting students for calm, emphasizing the need to let the school authorities carry out a comprehensive investigation. The matter has been reported to the Chief Security Officer (CSO), who will oversee the prosecution of the individual responsible for the incident.
