The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has clarified the situation regarding the recent student loan disbursements, revealing that no institutions from the South-East region have yet responded to the verification process. This has led to their absence from the list of 19 beneficiaries.

NELFUND emphasized that the disbursement process is not influenced by geographical regions but is based on responses to a verification list sent to eligible institutions. The Fund has so far allocated a total of N2,946,927,155 to 27,667 students across 19 institutions nationwide.
