SWAN Kaduna Leaders Praise Greenfield University's State-of-the-Art Sports Facilities

The executive members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kaduna State chapter, visited the Greenfield University (GFU) City Campus and expressed their satisfaction with the sports facilities on offer. The visit, which took place on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, was led by SWAN Kaduna Chairman, Shehu Abdullahi.

Abdullahi commended the Pro-Chancellor of GFU, Chief Simon Nwakacha, for his strong commitment to advancing sports in Kaduna State. "The facilities we see here, especially from a private institution, showcase a remarkable vision and dedication," Abdullahi stated.

He called for a partnership to enhance sports development in the state, particularly in the lead-up to the 2024 SWAN Week. "Greenfield University’s multimillion-naira sports infrastructure presents a significant opportunity for collaboration and growth," Abdullahi added. "By joining forces, SWAN and the university can maximize the potential of these facilities, driving sports development and contributing positively to the sector."

Chief Nwakacha expressed enthusiasm for the proposed collaboration, acknowledging the challenges businesses currently face. "Greenfield University is excited to explore this partnership with SWAN to make full use of our sports infrastructure," he said. He underscored the necessity of collaboration to navigate the current difficulties effectively.

During the visit, the SWAN executives toured GFU’s state-of-the-art physiotherapy gym and other sports facilities, expressing their admiration for the infrastructure and recognizing the potential for future cooperation.
