In an official notice released by the Student Affairs Division, the university management stated unequivocally that no student should pay cash to any individual—whether within or outside the university—for hostel allocation. All hostel accommodation payments are to be made strictly online, at the officially approved fee of ₦13,000.

The notice emphasized that the university will not take responsibility for any money lost through cash transactions related to hostel accommodation. Furthermore, any person found guilty of either paying or receiving cash for hostel purposes will face disciplinary action in line with university regulations.
The warning, signed by the Dean of Students, Dr. Atando Dauda Agbu, underscores the university’s zero-tolerance stance on financial misconduct and informal payment arrangements.
