TEDA School Students Excel in 2024 JAMB with Top Scores

Nineteen students from TEDA School in Eke-Owerri, Obingwa Local Government of Abia State, scored between 250 and 345 marks in the 2024 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, solidifying the school’s reputation for academic excellence.

TEDA School has a history of outstanding academic achievements. In 2023, the school represented Nigeria at the 55th International Chemistry Olympiad in Switzerland, with Grandville Chukwure, who scored 345 marks in the 2024 JAMB, participating in the competition. Additionally, TEDA students represented Abia State in the finals of the International Olympiad Competition in Senior Chemistry and Mathematics.

In the 2022/2023 academic year, TEDA students placed first, second, and fourth in the Junior Science competition. In the 2020/2021 academic year, TEDA was recognized as the Best School in Junior Science, achieving first, second, fourth, fifth, eighth, and ninth places, with one student being named the Best Boy in Junior Chemistry.

The Abia State Ministry of Education recognized TEDA as the Best Government-approved Private Junior Secondary School and the second-best Government-approved Senior Secondary School for the 2021/2022 academic session.

Dr. Godson Dinneya, TEDA's proprietor, commended the students and their tutors for their excellent JAMB performance. He emphasized the school’s ongoing commitment to providing a supportive environment for academic success. Recent investments in the school include a 1,000-seater auditorium for artistic productions, fully equipped science and technical laboratories, and workshops for mechanical, electrical/electronics, and woodwork training.

Students work hard at their studies and extracurricular activities, and those seeds yield good results in external examinations while preparing them for the future."
