In a significant development, terrorists have released one of the female students abducted from the Federal University Dutsin-Ma in Katsina State, Northwest Nigeria. The freed student, identified as Muhammad Fatima Ruqqayat, spent over 45 days in the terrorists' den.

The family of Ruqqayat confirmed her release on Sunday. It was disclosed that the terrorists, after demanding and receiving over N4 million in ransom from both the family and the school management, released the student.

MySchoolnews Previously reported the abduction of at least five female students from the federal university in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. The terrorists invaded the hostel, and among the kidnapped students, three were from Kwara State, one from Kano, and another from Niger State.

The abducted students from Kwara were identified as Muhammad Fatima, Bello Fatima Zara, and Adam Rahmatallahi. Earlier reports indicated that the terrorists had collected about N2.5 million from the victims' families but refused to release the students, demanding additional ransom from both the government and the school management.
