The Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu State, Rev Father Christian Anieke, has issued a warning to dispose of 33 corpses abandoned in the university's Teaching Hospital for the past 18 years. During a Thanksgiving Holy Mass in Enugu, Anieke advised the public to visit the former Ntasi Obi Ndi Nona Afufu, Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital, and check if any of the abandoned corpses belonged to their relatives.

The Vice Chancellor characterized the situation as challenging and explained that the directive aims to facilitate the renovation of the morgue, making it suitable for a teaching hospital. Anieke urged families of the 33 corpses to claim and provide them with a proper burial before the court's deadline.

Additionally, Anieke announced that Godfrey Okoye University Enugu would soon admit students into its School of Nursing and Midwifery by the end of January 2024. He commended the achievements recorded between the 10th and 11th convocations, emphasizing the university's commitment to discipline and leadership in the academic sector.
