BUA Group Donates N1 Billion Entrepreneurship Centre to UNIMAID

Abdul Samad Rabiu, the Chairman of BUA Group, a billionaire philanthropist, officially handed over a N1 billion International Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to the University of Maiduguri. The ceremony took place during the university's 24th Combined Convocation, where Rabiu was also conferred with an honorary degree for his significant contributions to national development, education, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.

During the convocation event attended by Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, Rabiu emphasized the vital role of such centers in nurturing future leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs. The ASR Africa Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Ubon Udoh, highlighted the center's potential to spur economic and social growth, provide a global platform for innovation, and foster partnerships with leading international educational institutions.
The ASR International Centre includes administrative offices, workstations, conceptual hubs, a cafeteria, a library, and an exhibition hall. It features a 150-seater hall designed for high-profile presentations and academic conferences. ASR Africa, established in 2021, aims to provide sustainable, impact-based solutions to developmental issues affecting health, education, and social development in Africa.
