TETFund showcases innovative research projects by Nigerian universities

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has displayed some of the research projects by Nigerian universities that have benefited from its support and collaboration with Innov8 Technology Hub.

The projects, which span across various sectors such as agriculture, education, oil and gas, and health, were exhibited at the closing ceremony of the TETFund Alliance for Innovative Research (TETFAIR) programme in Abuja.

The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono, said the programme was aimed at providing opportunities for researchers and academics to transform their ideas into solutions and innovations, including the development and fabrication of prototypes for commercialisation. He said the programme was part of the Federal Government's commitment to achieve technological and economic development in the country through research and innovation.

He added that the projects had received positive feedback from potential investors and some had been selected for international recognition. He said TETFund was determined to showcase the remarkable strides achieved by scholars in the research and innovation ecosystem as a pointer to demonstrate the "transformative power of our collective efforts".
