Thank you Abdul Rahman for supporting our dreams-FULafia graduates
The students of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), numbering 50, who have graduated with first class honours and sponsored by the Nasarawa State Government to acquire vocational training have expressed their gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, for facilitating their training.

It would be recalled that during the last convocation ceremony of the University in February 2024, the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, promised to send those who graduated with first class to the state owned vocational training institute to be trained on various skills.
Consequently, the vice-chancellor followed the matter through to the successful graduation of the students recently.

Thus, the students expressed their gratitude to the vice-chancellor during a thank-you visit to his office at Lafia.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, the team leader, Florence Michael Olaleye, the best graduating student of the Department of Philosophy, 2019/2020 session, said they were in the vice-chancellor's office to, also, thank him for the fatherly role he played throughout their stay in the University.
Olaleye used the opportunity of the visit to appreciate the Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, for his support, saying that his gesture has made an enduring positive impact in their lives.
Receiving the graduates in his office, Abdul Rahman thanked them for the visit, saying that he was delighted to know that all of the 50 first class graduates accepted the offer made by the state government for them to be trained.
He admonished them use the knowledge they have gained from the training to add value to themselves and the society.
While congratulating them on their graduation with first class, the vice-chancellor encouraged them to keep on with the good conduct that propelled them to achieve the feet, saying that "other people should emulate you for the good character you have built for yourselves.”
He, also, thanked the Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, for fulfilling his government’s promise to train the graduates, noting that the offer was one of the many good things the University has enjoyed from the Nasarawa State Government.
