Two UNILAG Scholars Nominated for Fulbright African Research Scholar Programme
Two University of Lagos (UNILAG) scholars, Dr. Cordelia Dueke-Eze and Dr. Olasunmbo Afolayan, have been nominated for the prestigious Fulbright African Research Scholar Programme (ARSP) for the 2024-2025 academic session.
Two distinguished scholars from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) have been nominated for the prestigious Fulbright African Research Scholar Programme (ARSP) for the 2024-2025 academic session.
The nominees, Dr. Cordelia Dueke-Eze of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, and Dr. Olasunmbo Afolayan of the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, will have the opportunity to conduct advanced research at renowned institutions in the United States.
The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Programme (FVSP), also referred to as the African Research Scholar Programme, is a distinguished research fellowship that provides Nigerian academics and professionals with the chance to engage in cutting-edge research at U.S. institutions. The programme supports senior faculty from select Nigerian universities and research institutes in conducting research across various academic disciplines for durations ranging from three to nine months. Eligible scholars must possess a doctorate degree or an equivalent terminal qualification in their respective fields at the time of application.
