Two Vigilantes Arrested For Alleged Rape Of Female Student In Oyo Varsity

Two vigilantes of the Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo State, have reportedly been apprehended for sexually assaulting a female student of the institution.

This was disclosed by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Olufemi Atoyebi, in a public statement. According to the university’s Public Relations Officer, the management has initiated an internal inquiry to investigate the accusation thoroughly.

Atoyebi stated that the suspects have been turned over to the police, and the university is committed to ensuring severe consequences for anyone found responsible after a comprehensive investigation. “Raising godly intellectuals is our primary goal in ACU and we will not allow any act of misconduct capable of diverting our attention from our goal. Heavy penalty awaits anyone who is found culpable after our thorough investigation,” he said.

He reassured all stakeholders that the institution is committed towards maintaining a zero-tolerance policy of any form of misconduct that could damage its esteemed reputation. “The management wishes to assure all stakeholders that ACU will not tolerate any act of misconduct capable of tarnishing its enviable image,” he added.
