"This honour is not just a personal recognition, but also a testament to what can be achieved when leadership and labour share a common vision rooted in mutual respect, trust, and the commitment to excellence. When I assumed office as Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, I was very conscious of the delicate balance between institutional goals and the welfare of our workforce. Over time, I have come to realize that no institution can rise above the dedication, wellbeing, and motivation of its workers. As the saying goes, ‘a happy workforce is a productive workforce.’"
