UCH Management Refutes Claims of Hospital Premises Being Used as Armoury by Yoruba Nation Agitators
The University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan has firmly dispelled rumours suggesting its premises were used as an armoury by Yoruba Nation Agitators.
The management of the University College Hospital (UCH) has vehemently denied recent allegations suggesting that the hospital's premises were used as an armoury by Yoruba Nation Agitators during an incident in Ibadan on April 13th, 2024.

Clarifying the situation, UCH revealed that six members of the Yoruba Nation Agitators had scaled the fence of the North West Campus Area of the hospital from the Parliament road of the Oyo State Secretariat. They entered the premises while being pursued by security personnel. Upon detection by UCH's vigilant security team, the Chief Security Officer immediately alerted the Yemetu Police Station.

Law enforcement agents swiftly arrived at the scene, prompting the individuals to hastily abandon their camouflage attire, berets, and ammunition before fleeing. Two suspects were subsequently apprehended, while four managed to escape arrest.
