UDUS-MSSN Organizes 2023 Grand Musabaqa to Promote Quranic Knowledge

Sokoto, Nigeria - The Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria (MSSN) at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, is set to host the highly anticipated 2023 Inter-Faculty Grand Musabaqa, aimed at fostering a deeper connection with the Holy Quran among students.

The event, scheduled to take place from Friday, October 13th, to Sunday, October 15th, 2023, will be held at the ETF 3 Hall, with sessions running from 9 am to 12 pm, 2 pm to 4 pm, and 8 pm to 11 pm each day.

The Grand Musabaqa, a Quranic memorization competition, will encompass two categories: male and female, with participants competing in categories of 60, 40, and 20 Hizb. Additionally, a separate category of 10 Hizb has been designated exclusively for female participants.

Mustaqeem Bin Malik, the Ameer (leader) of the Muslim Students' Society, emphasized the organization's commitment to ensuring the safety of all participants and attendees. He assured the public of a secure environment, free from threats or intimidation during the program.

"There's nothing to be bothered about. We have a standby committee that is ready to ensure the safety of students and their properties alike," stated Ameer Mustaqeem Bin Malik.

The primary objective of this event is to promote a deeper understanding and love for the Holy Quran among Muslims. It seeks to encourage individuals to memorize the Noble Book of Allah, comprehend its meanings, and incorporate its teachings into their lives. The organizers believe that this will contribute to positive changes in society by fostering moral values and ethics.

As education serves as the foundation of any society, the act of memorizing and understanding the Quran is seen as a transformative tool that can help cleanse society of negative influences and behaviors.
