UDUS Student, Fatima Mohammed Abubakar Makes History as First Female Convener of University Scholars Forum

Fatima Mohammed Abubakar, a 300-level Electrical Engineering student at Usmanu Danfodiyo University (UDUS), has broken barriers by becoming the first female Convener of the University Scholars Forum.

The announcement was made during the University Scholars Colloquium (USC 3.0), themed "Transforming Scholarships to Leadership: Building the Nigeria We Want," held at UDUS's Main Auditorium.

Fatima, a Sokoto indigene, expressed gratitude to the Board of Trustees for entrusting her with this significant responsibility. She succeeds Ajibike Abdulbasit Abiodun, whose outstanding performance was acknowledged.

"I am honored to lead this esteemed forum," Fatima said. "I advocate for teamwork, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where knowledge pursuit is a shared journey."
