UDUS Students Frustrated by Classroom Closures; Management Explains

Students at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) are frustrated by the closure of classrooms during the current semester break. Abdulhamid Abdulsomod, a 200-level Biology student, was unable to access a classroom for studying, citing it as a setback.

Final-year Plant Science student Yusuf Abdulbasit also expressed disappointment, noting that he needed the classroom for assignments and research. First-year Pharmacy student Abdulsamad was puzzled by the sudden closure, which deviates from past practices.

Professor Umar Aliyu, Dean of Student Affairs, explained that the closure is a response to frequent thefts and damage in lecture halls during breaks. Chief Security Officer Col.
