The Students’ Union Caretaker Committee (CTC) of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), has completed the construction and installation of 27 concrete resting chairs at strategic locations across the university campus as part of efforts to improve students’ welfare and learning environment.

The project, which was executed under the leadership of the Chairman of the Students’ Union CTC, Comrade Tasiu Amimu, is aimed at providing students with comfortable and accessible spaces for relaxation, academic discussions, group studies, and other productive engagements within the campus.

According to a special bulletin signed by Comrade Tasiu Amimu, and communicated through the General Secretary, Comrade Ibrahim Ahmad on Tuesday, the initiative was conceived in response to the growing need for durable seating facilities in areas frequently used by students.

The bulletin noted that the administration prioritized the project as part of its commitment to enhancing the overall academic and social experience of students.

The newly constructed chairs have been strategically positioned across different sections of the university to create more opportunities for interaction, learning, and recreation. Beyond serving as resting points, the facilities are expected to encourage collaborative learning and provide suitable environments for meaningful discussions among students.

Speaking through the bulletin, the Students’ Union leadership described the project as a practical intervention designed to address students’ needs while leaving a lasting impact on the university community.
