UI Reaffirms Commitment to Active and Result-Oriented MOUs During NMSU Visit

The University of Ibadan (UI) has reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring that all memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with collaborating and partnering institutions remain active, fully engaged, and result-oriented.

The declaration was made by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor P.O. Olapegba, while receiving Professor Efren Delgado of New Mexico State University (NMSU), USA, on a courtesy visit on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. Delgado’s visit was prompted by the outstanding performance of Mr. Muhammad Oluwakemi, a PhD student from UI’s Department of Animal Science, during a recently concluded three-month USDA-sponsored fellowship at NMSU. Speaking during the visit, Prof. Olapegba expressed delight in hosting Prof. Delgado and emphasized the University’s readiness to collaborate with NMSU.

In his remarks, Prof. Delgado, who heads the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at NMSU, noted that while the visit was a post-fellowship check-in, it also aimed to explore collaboration opportunities with UI. He expressed enthusiasm about forging partnerships that would yield mutual benefits for both institutions.
