Hon. Pastor Jonathan Ukodhiko, Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has emphasized the vital role of youth in driving national development across sectors like sports, technology, entrepreneurship, and education. Speaking at the JPI Youth Assembly, Delta State Chapter, in Asaba, he called for greater youth inclusion in decision-making to reflect the aspirations of the entire population.

Ukodhiko, who was represented by Professor Peter Emaziye from Delta State University, Abraka, highlighted that youths make up a significant portion of the population, and their fresh perspectives can offer innovative solutions to societal challenges. He stressed the need for youth empowerment through quality education, vocational training, and mentorship programs to equip young people with the practical skills needed to succeed in the modern economy.

Addressing the theme "Inspiring Possibilities," Ukodhiko noted challenges faced by youths, such as unemployment and financial constraints, which hinder entrepreneurial ambitions. He urged for more accessible funding options to support young entrepreneurs and emphasized the importance of practical education to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world demands.

Pastor Sunday Elueni, representing the UJA Family Foundation—founded by Ukodhiko—disclosed the Foundation’s commitment to empowering Isoko youths through initiatives in education, health, agriculture, and financial support. He mentioned ongoing projects, including monthly stipends for over 400 individuals, JAMB training sponsorships, and scholarships for the top UTME scorers in engineering, medicine, and law.

The JPI Youth Assembly, organized in collaboration with the UJA Family Foundation, aimed to inspire Delta youths to unlock their potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities and the nation's growth.
